Newsletter June 2023 - ASSONANCE.Agency

This content was originally published in our June 2023 Newsletter. Each issue features exclusive content for our subscribers.

...and not remain compartmentalized.

We'd like to share with you our desire to create more bridges between the different professions in the digital world.
The agency was created initially to market web copywriting and SEO consulting services. Quite naturally, we specialized in editorial consulting dedicated to natural search engine optimization. We have particularly developed a taste for international projects. Translating and adapting content for a foreign market means getting to know the local culture and needs. Add a pinch of semantic research and an ounce of creative content, and you're in business!

We learn more and more by confronting other cultures, even in markets as close to us as Belgium, Switzerland or Germany. In the same way, we enjoy expanding our circles to feed our digital culture. By meeting professionals who use tools similar to ours, but with different approaches, we enrich our methods. Above all, it's a way of keeping our work stimulating. Do you think we spend our days churning out copy? On the one hand, "it depends". On the other hand, content creation is often the final (but essential) step after much thought and cross-referencing of data.

Especially with the current constraints encouraged by various Google announcements (Helpful Content Update, E-E-A-Tetc.), the need to take a step to the side is all the more important. Create, publish, but never at random.

"Creating an abundance of content with little effort or originality with no editing or manual curation is often the defining attribute of spammy websites. One way to do this is to use "auto-generated" content. [... ] Pages and websites made up of auto-generated content with no editing or manual curation, and no original content or value added for users, should be rated Lowest. "
- Search Quality Evaluator Guidelines, Google, December 15, 2022

Of course, the arrival of accessible artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT opens the way to larger (in terms of volume) content production. Today, there's hardly a CMS or management tool that doesn't offer AI functionality for content generation. Examples include Notion and Squarespace.

Our team is by no means anti-AI. In fact, we test the potential of artificial intelligence to support us in our tasks on a daily basis. However, we also come up against its limitations... or is it the AI that fails to meet our requirements? In any case, behind the scenes we're preparing a case study on a paraphrasing project for an e-commerce company with whom we tested ChatGPT (among other things).
